Each card is a real wildlife observation: one creature, photographed by one person on one day in one place, drawn from photographed observations on GBIF.
Packs
5 cards per pack. You get 1 pack back every 5 minutes and can hold up to 10. Ran out but want more? Watch a short rewarded video for 3 packs, up to 20 times a day.
Rarity
Based on how many records the species has on GBIF in total (observations and specimens worldwide). IUCN Near Threatened, Vulnerable, Endangered and Critically Endangered species get a bump.
| Rarity | Species records worldwide | Drop rate | Points |
| UR | Under 50 Almost nobody has photographed it in the wild | 0.5% | 100 |
| SSR | 50 – 320 Only a few hundred records on Earth | 1.8% | 30 |
| SR | 320 – 2,000 A niche species | 4.6% | 10 |
| R | 2,000 – 16,000 Some people know it, but it’s not common | 18.8% | 3 |
| N | Over 16,000 Common: the Mallard has 32.84 million | 74.3% | 1 |
Drop rates estimated from 627 random records drawn on November 1, 2026.
Print finish
N matte, R gloss, SR silver edge, SSR gold foil, UR holographic. Face down, you can already see the finish on the edge of SR and above.
Ranking
Ranked by collection score: each species counts once at the value above; duplicates add nothing. When you’re signed in, your packs are saved to your account and the server tracks your pack count and score, so one pack puts you on the board. Packs opened while signed out stay on this device and don’t count.
Sources
Photos belong to their photographers; each card’s caption shows the license. Observations come from GBIF, species names from iNaturalist and GBIF. Signed out, your collection lives in this browser; signed in, it lives on the server and follows you across devices.
Ad revenue
90% of this site’s ad revenue is donated to iNaturalist; the other 10% covers servers and other running costs.
